Summary
Carol L. (Bolls) Purvis, 73, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on July 20th, 2025; after battling Pancreatic Cancer. She was born on July 3rd, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Carol lived her life with boundless love for the simple joys, that life had to offer.
She dedicated many years of service to Indianapolis Rubber Stamp Company (IRSCo); where her ingenuity and contribution helped reinvent the self-inking stamp; leaving a lasting mark on the business and her colleagues.
Carol’s love for family and friends was matched only by her kindness; she never met a stranger. Her remarkable strength and grace were most evident during her fight with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.
She found joy outdoors, whether it was fishing, swimming, mushroom hunting, searching for arrowheads, or just growing a simple tomato plant. However, what she cherished most was spending time with those she held dear, especially her companion, Bob.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Amey (Chuck) Johnson; son, Glenn Purvis Jr.; and four grandchildren: Michael Johnson, Katlyn Purvis, Emma Purvis, and Logan Purvis.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Glenn L. Purvis Sr.
Carol will be deeply missed, by her family and friends; forever remembered for her legacy of love, strength, and kindness.
