Summary
David Scott Sapp. 67, passed away peacefully, in his home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. He was just shy of turning 68. “Scott”, as he was known to family & friends, was born Tuesday August 13, 1957, in Crawfordsville, IN., to the late Richard & Patirica (Gray) Sapp.
Scott attended Franklin Community High School. He spent much of his adult life working as a bartender, at various businesses, ranging from local bars to more upscale hotels and restaurants downtown. Scott enjoyed watching sport teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders, the Indianapolis Pacers, the Indianapolis Colts, and the Chicago White Sox, whether at live events or on the tv. While Scott was known to value his time alone, where he could reflect, recharge, and simply be; Scott cherished spending time with family, especially during holidays and special gatherings. Especially, family time where he could laugh loudly and joke endlessly, in true Sapp fashion.
He was survived by his older sister, Pam (Tom) Hanson; younger brother, Kevin Charles Sapp Sr.; and sister-in-law, Mary Pat Sapp (Rigney). Scott also had three nieces, three nephews, as well as several great nieces/nephews and great-great nieces/nephews.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Patricia Sapp, older brothers Richard Jr. and Greg, younger sister Kimberly, and nephew Steven Mark (Markie) Ashcraft.
He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Cremation Indianapolis, located at 6904 E. St. Suite E. Indianapolis, In. 46227. Condolences, to the family, can be left at simplecremationindianapolis.com.
