Summary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deena, who gained her wings, on September 12th, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family; after a long battle with cancer. Born on March 18th, 1960 in Marion county, Indiana to Louis Satterfield and Ruth (Reynolds) Satterfield.

In her early working years, Deena was a dedicated QMA at Millers Mary Manor. She was known for her unwavering compassion and a warm kind heart that brought comfort to countless patients and their families. She then went on to work at NSG, retiring in 2021.

Deena is survived by her daughter, Jennifer VanDuyn (Doug) of shelbyville, her son, Cody Davis of shelbyville. Her grandchildren, Blake Anderson (Wesley), Bayleigh Webb (Hamza), Benjamin Webb, Ethan Davis (Brooklyn) Lilian and Riley Davis.

Deena loved her kids, grandkids, and her 4 grand pups fiercely. She enjoyed family get togethers, garage sales, sewing, dragonflies, movies, puzzles, fishing, taking her grandkids to the lake faithfully when they were young. She was a skilled woodworker, making beautiful wood crafts for her home.

Deena had many close friends and was known for her quick Witt. She had a bright, sharp personality and could make anyone laugh with her sayings that she would come up with.

She will be deeply missed by many. A celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society of Shelby County.
