Carl Lyman Hess, 65, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Carl was born on February 9, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana to the late Wilbur Carl and Esther Carolyn Hess (Gruber).
Carl worked for Kent Brothers farms for over 40 years. He loved to hunt and fish and sit on his front porch. He had many friends who loved him and will miss him dearly.
He is survived by the love of his life, Laura Hess, whom he married in 1982 (43 years). Two daughters, Brandy Engleking (Nathan) and Carla Richards, and 1 grandchild.
Simple Cremation Indianapolis is entrusted with care.

Carl was my husband best friend he was in our best man at our wedding he will be missed dearly. I am sending prayers for the family for god to wrap his arm around them and easy thier pain
