Michael was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Phyllis Marie Sisson O’Quinn and Thomas Leak O’Quinn on June 5, 1955. He attended Southport High School in Indianapolis. Michael worked as a carpenter in his youth before joining the United States Army, where he received an honorable discharge. He moved to Oklahoma and opened his own transmission shop before returning to Indianapolis in 1996 to help care for his ailing mother. When he returned to Indianapolis, Michael went to work for AAMCO until he retired on disability in 2004 after a motorcycle accident. Michael loved cooking, spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, boating, and especially traveling and cruising. He also enjoyed working with his hands and making several pieces of woodwork for his family members. He enjoyed playing guitar and singing for and with his family. He was known as Mike or Mikey by family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis and father, Thomas. Michael leaves behind his wife, Darlene Hatten O’Quinn, daughter, Angela Ruth O’Quinn (Jeremy Music), stepdaughter, Cari Sheehan (Brad), sisters, Sharon St. Hilaire (Timothy), Jeanette McElwaine (Gary), Darlene Hendrickson, grandchildren, Antonia Hansford (Christopher), Mark Sanders, Makenzie Sheehan, Braeden Sheehan, great granddaughter, Lilly Hansford and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.
