Don retired from General Motors after 35 years of dedicated service, a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment. He proudly served his country as a United States Marine Corps veteran, a title he carried with honor for the rest of his life.
A true sports lover, Don, rarely missed a game; especially if the Colts or Indiana University were playing. Sports were also a way for him to connect with family, most notably during the years he proudly coached his son Joe in youth baseball and spent time playing softball himself.
Some of Don’s happiest moments were spent outdoors at the farm, sitting in the barn, listening to music, and hanging out with his good buddy, Eric Potts. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for family, and his ability to find joy in the moments that mattered most.
A celebration of life will take place on a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in his honor. If you’d like to honor Don, please consider a donation to disabled veterans associations or a local animal shelter.
