Charlotte Lee (Prescott) Spikes, 82, passed away February 4, 2026, at Life’s Journey Hospice in Avon, Indiana.
She was born on January 14, 1944, in Burnside, Kentucky. Charlotte was the first of four children to Jessie Lee Prescott and Mary Catherine Hutson. Charlotte graduated from Lloyd Memorial High School in Erlanger, Kentucky. She worked in a variety of financial and banking positions and retired from full-time employment with ADP as an Account Manager in Indianapolis, Indiana. Because it gave her a chance to read and make money to shop, Charlotte worked part-time evenings for MTC in Avon, Indiana, conducting telephone QA surveys at which she excelled and sat atop the bonus leader boards.
She was a member of St. Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plainfield, Indiana, serving in leadership and ministries close to her heart – including the Quilting Circle, Children’s Santa Shop, Women’s Bible Study, and the Food Pantry.
She is survived by her husband David Spikes, Plainfield, Indiana; daughters Jennifer (Tim) Evans, Brownsburg, Indiana, and Julie (Jubal) Marsh, Okeechobee, Florida; stepdaughters Dana (Chris) Thyen, Jasper, Indiana, and Gina (Ricky) Breedlove, Clayton, Indiana. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Vicki) Prescott; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many life-long friends — all of whom she loved dearly, but especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren!
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Wayne Prescott and Brenda Bradford) and a step-grandson Joseph Thyen.

I met Charlotte in 1962 and we became inseparable friends for many years, her girls were my girls and my daughter like hers. She taught me how to do make up, how to dress more chic, she was herself the perfect model and with us both being Lutheran women and living in the same complex we developed nearly the same likes. Our husbands, at that time, were best friends and worked at the same company. She was much more appropriated and so beautiful that I looked to her for most everything. Thank you my Dear Friend, it was some of the best years of my life🙏✝️♥️😍you will never be forgotten. I am going to miss knowing that you are not still here with your family, however, I am Happy that you will be pain free and happy and peaceful and that you are well loved with our Lord‼️🙏♥️✝️Please tell Jesus I love HIM and I will see HIM soon. Your struggles are over and so are your tears and pain. Dance down that Golden Street, just a Dancin. 🎶🥰🙏🎶😍🎶✝️❣️introduce your Mom to mine. They will keep you company for a while. 🙏🥰♥️🙏🎶Open those Pearly Gates and save a spot for me. ♥️❣️😇
My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones. Charlotte was a beautiful person inside and out, as I remember our younger years as school mates together. My prayers are with you.

I didn’t get too spend as much time with Charlotte, but I loved her. She helped me with my quilting and made me laugh. I will miss her. I do have a few of her sewing items I will cherish. So sorry for your loss, but God is having a great time now, God Bless
