In Loving Memory of Sonny J. Lawrence
Sonny J. Lawrence, 58, was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, to his late parents, Carol Wooten and Francis Lawrence. He was a devoted husband, loving brother, uncle, grandfather, and cherished friend whose life was marked by kindness, generosity, humor, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.
Sonny was the beloved husband of Lori R. Lawrence, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Together, they treasured their family and shared a deep commitment to helping their grandsons grow into good, caring men. Their love and devotion to one another were an inspiration to those who knew them.
Sonny had a generous heart and would gladly give whatever he had to help someone else, always with a smile. He was an honorable man who held no ill will toward others and valued the friendships that became an extension of his family. Whether working in his garden, tinkering with cars, enjoying time in the garage, gathering around the grill, or sharing his love of music, Sonny found joy in life’s simple pleasures and in the company of those he loved. His wonderful sense of humor brought laughter to countless moments and created memories that will be treasured forever.
Sonny and Lori’s lives were tragically cut short, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of their loved ones. Though their time together ended far too soon, the love they shared and the lives they touched will never be forgotten.
Sonny is survived by his sisters, Phyllis (Mark) and Cindy Edwards; his brother, Derrick Wayne Edwards (Tammy); his nieces and nephews; his grandchildren and extended family; and the many dear friends who will forever consider him family.
