Budd Moore was born on February 2, 1940 at home in Judyville Indiana to Mackey F. Moore and Carrie Lee Henley Moore, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on September 17, 2026.
Budd went to Ben Davis High School and was an Army veteran. He retired from General Motors Truck and Bus where he worked as a machine and crane operator.
Budd was a great craftsman. For most of his life he remodeled homes, made cabinets, built decks, and would do anything involving wood and remodeling. Family members often went to him for help with their projects and he was always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed making crafts to sell at the covered bridge festival with Joyce, Jim and Doris.
He loved traveling to Kentucky to visit family and watch Terry, Kevin and family play music for the band.
Budd was known for being a jokester and prankster. He enjoyed playing pranks on people, having everyone around him laughing and smiling. He had an infectious smile on his face even when he was suffering himself.
He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all.
Budd was preceded in death by his father, Mackey F. Moore, his mother, Carrie Lee Henley Moore, his significant other of more than 35 years, Joyce Moorhead, sisters, Barbara Moore, Norma Johnson, Wanda Clendenning, and Marjorie Powers, brothers, C. Robert Moore, James C. Moore.
Survivors include his children Barbara Thompson (Mark), Tammie Bandy, Clinton Moore (Vivian), Matthew Moore (Amber), Terry Moorhead, Kevin Moorhead (Colleen); brother Clifford Moore of Sacramento California, sister in law Doris Moore, along with 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
