Summary
Judith “Judy” Rose Kirby, age 79, entered God's Kingdom on October 20, 2023. She is finally at rest after a long struggle with multiple chronic health issues.
Judy was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 8, 1944, the fourth of seven children, to the late Brady Carman and Billie Francis (Brown) VanHuss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Ray Kirby, and four brothers, Jack, Cliff, Jim, and Mark VanHuss. She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn Gilliland and Misty Morton, two grandchildren, older sister, Gertrude “Gertie” Schott, and younger brother, William “Bill” VanHuss.
Judy was a beautiful, loving, caring, sweet, loyal person. A doting, committed, present mother who always put her children before herself. A loyal, trustworthy friend to many. She truly enjoyed working in Environmental Services at the Beech Grove St. Francis Hospital for over 11 years until it was shut down. Judy was an avid animal lover who would've taken in every stray off the street if possible and she did save quite a few over the years.
She was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Per wishes, there will be no formal service.
