Summary
Adam James Arnold, born October 27, 1978, to parents Lucia Marino and Gary Arnold, in Blue Island, IL, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2024 at the age of 45.
Adam is survived by his three children, Althea Wildflower Arnold (14), Marley Aralia Arnold (11), and his son Jacob James Arnold (7) as well as his two loving sisters, Michelle Matson-Stroh (Justin) and Dawn Alverado (Arturo).
As a fourth-generation cement mason, Adam proudly joined Cement Mason’s Union Local 502 in 1998, continuing a family legacy of hard work and craftsmanship for 26 years.
Outside of his profession, Adam was a passionate individual with a love for the outdoors, often found fishing, hunting, and raising wildlife. He also had a respectable green thumb and pride in his horticulture skills. Music was an integral part of his life as he played drums and was often found listening to The Grateful Dead and Bob Marley. His appreciation for the arts extended beyond music as he was also known for his large number of tattoos.
Adams remarkable hair, which measured an impression 8 feet 8 inches at the time of his passing, was not just a personal trial but also led him to qualify for introduction into The Guiness Book of World Records for longest hair on a living male person. Although the attempt was not yet registered, it was a statement to his unique spirit.
Adam also found spiritual guidance through the ways of The Native American LaKota Tribe and was a member of the Two Feathers Medicine Clan out of Creal Springs, Illinois. His connection to his heritage played a significant role in his life, enriching his experiences and values.
A devoted father, Adam cherished every moment with his children. They were his pride and joy, and nothing brought him happiness like spending time with them, fostering a home filled with laughter, love, and dancing.
Those who loved Adam will forever hold his memory close. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, but his legacy of family, love and adventure will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
