Belinda Herring Crowley 77, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19, 2026, following a valiant battle with a long illness. Belinda was born to Elwood and Geneva (Lampkin) Herring on December 16, 1948, in Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Oglethorpe County High School in Georgia (1967) and University of Georgia (1971). She later received her Master of Education from Indiana University and completed the EPPSP (Experiential Program for Preparing School Principals) at Butler University. In 1967, Belinda married her beloved husband Andrew P. Crowley, Sr. in Maxeys, Georgia. She has lived in Indianapolis since 1974. Belinda has served others throughout her life as a social worker, teacher and realtor. She was a lifelong learner—always excited to experience, learn, and grow. For 32 years, she was an active member of Speedway Christian Church where her husband served as pastor. Belinda loved spending time with family, completing home improvement projects, traveling, reading, gardening, and playing bunco with friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her Border Collie Bubba and her dog Brynn who was her loyal companion in her final years. Belinda was preceded in death by her husband Andy. She leaves a living legacy of love with so many people including daughter Jenni (Rusty) Crowley Cartee, son Drew (Melissa) Crowley, sister Wendy (Wes) Adams, sister Carol Herring, and a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends. She also leaves a lasting legacy with the many students she taught and mentored throughout the years. Memorial gifts may be made to Speedway Christian Church. A private family memorial service will be held at a later time, and cremains will be placed alongside Andy’s at Watkinsville Cemetery in Georgia.

Belinda was a bright light sent from God to shine in a darkened world. She, and her husband Andy, were friends and Christian mentors to all who crossed their path in almost all aspects of life. She will be deeply missed, but I find great comfort in knowing that she has now been reunited with her best friend, Andy (and Bubba??) May God bless her forever in her new life in the next realm. My prayers go out to Jenni, Drew, Wendy and Carol, as well as their families, as they learn to carry on without her.
Belinda was such a wonderful person. She and Andy brought so much to Speedway Christian Church–truly a blessing. She will be missed by many.
Belinda was beautiful but most of all smart and such a devoted child of God & sweet person all the way! I’m sure her family will miss her so much! My prayers and thoughts & love go out to her family!
Belinda will always hold a special place in our hearts and memory
Andy was a great Minister to our SCC family throughout his years with us and Belinda was always there by his side. Each, actively participating in church and community events. It was a sad day at SCC and in our lives when they stepped away from an active role at SCC. Meetings with Belinda became less and less frequent as the years passed but the great memories live on in our hearts.
While I did not know Belinda well, my parents, Forrest and Mary McGilliard, loved Andy and Belinda dearly. Our world was fortunate to have them in our world and make a huge difference.
We will certainly miss Belinda, just like we do Andy. They were a great couple and so much fun.

Belinda was a beautiful person and it was because of of her and her husband that I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and helped to build a home. My youngest son Shawn ended up helping also by raking and laying sod. It was a beautiful experience that I have never forgotten. My prayers are with the family. Belinda and I were Home/School Advisors in Wayne Township together. I have nothing but fond memories of her.

Blessings for the family in the passing of Belinda. She and Andy were special people who cared so much for the people at Speedway Christian Church. I was also able to see Belinda carry on her thoughtfulness at Garden City when I substituted there. She was a great educator and helped to mold so many minds in her teaching. Holding her family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.
I will never again have a friend so dear.
Jenni and Drew
Praying for you and the entire family. I enjoyed growing up in Speedway Christian Church. Andy being the minister and Belinda always being active in the church. I so enjoyed spending youth with both of you Jenni and Drew. Your family was so sweet.
