Bradley “Brad” Jones

Summary

Bradley "Brad" Jones passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024 at the age of 74. A beloved friend and family member to all who knew him, Brad's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

Brad had recently retired from a long and fulfilling career as a hairdresser, a profession where he not only showcased his exceptional skills but also formed lasting bonds with many of his clients. Beyond his career, Brad was a true artist at heart. His passion was evident in his love for painting, baking, sewing and making quilts. He was a regular participant in the state fair, where his artistic talents earned him awards in the top three categories on numerous occasions.

Brad and his late husband, Joe Cook shared a deep love for the arts, particularly the Garfield Shakespeare plays. Joe served as the producer, while Brad brought his creativity to life as the costumer. Together they were a dynamic duo, leaving a lasting impact on the local theater community.

Brad was preceded in death by his husband Joe Cook, his first partner Gilbert Inman, and his parents Grace and Arvin Jones. He leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity and kindness that will be cherished by all that had the privilege of knowing him.

Bradley will be remembered for his warm spirit, his incredible talent, his love of practical jokes and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the many who came to know him through his work and passions.

We encourage everyone to bring their fun stories of Brad to share.

There will be a celebration of life Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Garfield Park Art Center, located at 2432 Conservatory Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46203. (317) 327-7091.

  1. Brad was such a good person. He was my hairdresser for many years. Not many people can cut curly hair but he was a pro. Over the years we became good friends. He will be sorely missed. Love you Brad.
