Born on August 26th 1958 in Lawrenceburg Indiana to the late Carolyn Jo Ascherman and Robert Lee Ascherman, passed away peacefully on May 30th 2026 in Indiana.                                                                                                                                                

He worked for many years as a carpenter and a house painter. He was well known for playing the drums. He enjoyed playing music with his father, brothers and many friends over the years. He also enjoyed the older country and southern rock music, Lynyrd Skynyrd being among his favorite bands.

He was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Jo Ascherman, his brother Bobby Jo Ascherman and his two nieces Robin and April Ascherman.

He is survived by his children Regina Fortner (Shawn), Christopher Ascherman (Lonnie),Layla Stanley. 9 grand children and 7 great grand children. His father Robert Lee Ascherman. His brother Ricky Lee Ascherman, sisters Toni Parker, Peggy Kingsley and Loretta Kinnett and many nieces and nephews. Services or celebration of life will be announced by family at a later time.
