David Edward Paris

Summary

David Edward Paris, 49, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away, at his home, on Friday, August 15, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1975, in Keokuk, Iowa, to the late John and Shirley Paris.

He attended Warsaw High School, graduating in 1995. David worked as a server at Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn Steakhouse. David was also known, by many, as Diva de Paris; a beloved drag queen who lit up every stage he graced. He was always the “belle of the ball”; radiant, bold, and unapologetically himself. He lived with joy and laughter, never missing the chance to turn an ordinary moment into a celebration.

David’s greatest love was his family. He carried his loved ones with him in every performance, every laugh, and every gathering where he was the life of the party. David’s legacy is one of love, courage, and sparkle. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and forever remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Toni (Chad) Davis of Hamilton; his nieces and nephews: Katelyn (Devin) Diveney, Blake (Mattea) Miller, Bryce (Mila) Miller, Alex (Zach) Alger, Beau Paris, McKenzie Paris, John (Skylar) Paris, and David Troutman; along with several great-nieces and nephews.

David was welcomed into heaven by those that passed before him, whom he missed dearly; his parents, John and Shirley Paris; his brother, John Paris Jr.; and his grandparents, Erzella and Clarence Freetly, Essie (Wayne) Hackard, and Oscar “Jake” Paris.

A memorial service will be held on, Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., at Community of Christ Church, located at, 925 N. Durphy St., Nauvoo, IL 62354. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simple Cremation Indianapolis.
