He was born in Germany on American soil to Lee and Hannelore (Memmel) Lawson on July 12, 1973.

Dean is survived by his wife of six years, Carrie (Dortch) Lawson; two boys, stepson John Spradlin and son Allen Spradlin; sister, Dixie Berrios; brother, Steven Berrios.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Lawson, and father-in-law, Robert Dortch.
