Deborah Susan Alexander

Deborah Susan Alexander (Hoppy) passed away Saturday 1/18/2025 at the age of 67. Born to Lloyd Richard Hopkins and Carolyn Ann Oldfield at St Marys Hospital. She married Stephen Douglas Alexander in 1979 and had 3 beautiful children. Jeremy David Alexander 77′, Tonya Lee Alexander 79′ and Tristan Douglas Alexander 81′. She was the heart of our family. A wonderful mother who was always there when you needed her the most. She had a way of making everyone feel like family. Her love of the outdoors she passed on to her children and grandchildren through camping, fishing, hiking, swimming at the lake or even hitting up a baseball/softball field, working in the garden/yard or hitting up yard sales/thrift stores. She loved County Music, attending concerts and line dancing with her daughter @ 8 Seconds Saloon. She was a LPN and worked in Long Term Care. She has a softball team in Decatur, Illinois called The Bad Girls. We will miss you and carry your memories in our hearts forever. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we celebrate her life. 

She is survived by her husband Stephen Alexander 

Her children Jeremy Alexander, Tonya Alexander and Tristan Alexander 

Her grandchildren Rhiannon Thurman, Autumn Cook, Morgan Alexander, Hayden Alexander, Shaylee Alexander, Austin Clegg and Ariah Alexander 

Her great grandchildren Deacon Thurman, Lyla Thurman, Hazel Christerson and Miah Varner 

Siblings Danny Hopkins, Steve Hopkins, Tamie Thorne and Lisa Haynes 

Arrangements entrusted to Simple Cremation Indianapolis, 6904 S. East Street, Suite E, Indianapolis, IN.

  1. Met hoppy a while back loved her dearly . Loved going to 8 seconds for concerts and dancing ! Go rest high on that mountain we will miss you !
