Don Edward Hand, born in Plymouth, Indiana, was born on June 8th 1942 and passed away Friday, February 21st, 2025.
Don was born to Lois Bess Hand and Donald Hand in Culver, Indiana. After Don graduated from Culver High School, he went on to earn a degree in business from Indiana University, in Bloomington.
During Don’s time at I.U., he was drafted to serve in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He was decorated with the Army Commendation Medal for Service. Don went on to work for Scott’s Paper Company in Fort Wayne in the sales division. He transitioned from Scott’s Paper Company to Hamilton Exhibits where he finished out the last 28 years of his career.
After retirement, Don enjoyed spending his time playing golf around the country, as well as his home course of Indian Lake Country Club. He enjoyed hitting the slopes and skiing with the Indianapolis Ski Club. Don truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Don is predeceased by both of his parents, Lois, and Donald, as well as his brother Terry and his sister Chris. He is survived by his sister Jo Ellen Hicks and his surrogate nephews, Derek Walmoth, and Donald Hand, as well as his surrogate niece, Michelle Gerbasich.
A Celebration of Life for Don will be held on Monday, March 10th at Indian Lake Country Club, located at 10502 East 75th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46236. The celebration will go from 2-5 that afternoon with appetizers and drinks being served.

I have lots a fun memories of Don for the over 30 years we celebrated life via events at the Indianapolis Ski Club and Indian Lake Country Club. I and his many friends will miss him greatly. I extend my prayers to his family.
I worked with Don at Hamilton for several years, my deepest condolences 🙏.
I played golf with Don at Indian Lake in the Super Seniors group.

Don Hand and I go back to the mid 80’s. Although we never dated, he was like a brother . We enjoyed Dancing, Skiing, Golf, Water Activities, Bridge
and of course Happy Hours together. His sense of humor and smile will be lasting memories. He will be missed by everyone.
Don was truly one of the most positive and nicest person. He will be missed by friends and family.
What a precious man that I had the pleasure of spending much time on the course with at Indian Lake Country Club. Rest peacefully my friend
