Eric Allen Morrison

Summary

Eric Allen Morrison, 81, passed away September 5, 2025, in hospice, at his home in Indianapolis. Eric was born to Ernest and Minnie (Farris) Morrison in Kansas, as his father was serving in the army. As a young boy, his family settled in Zionsville, Indiana while his father served as Superintendent of Zionsville schools. Eric loved music and when he attended Zionsville High School, he played saxophone in the marching band and the concert band. After high school, he attended Jordan School of Music at Butler for several years. Eric then began a career in television and worked in Indianapolis for Channel 13 and also Channel 4. He moved to Pittsburg, PA and then California, working in television and produced and directed nationally syndicated and live TV programs, including news, entertainment and sporting events.

He got his pilot’s license as a young man, owned a Piper Cub plane and flew for many years. Eric also was a race car driver, raced Midgets in USAC and SCCA sanctioned racing events; as well as spending time during the Indy 500 as a mechanic for several race teams.

Eric went on to earn a B.A. degree in Psychology from Stephens College and worked on a Master’s degree in Psychology at UCLA, Martin University and Antioch University, concentrating on work with schizophrenic patients. He learned Didactic training in Biofeedback Therapy at UCLA Center for Integral Medicine.

He returned back to Zionsville and owned Morrison Productions. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Biofeedback Society of Indiana, and served as a member of the Advisory Board for the Villages of Indiana; as well as being a member and instructor through the National Association of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Eric is survived by his wife, Christina (Palmer) Morrison, his stepson Nicholas Morrison, daughter-in-law Tiffany, and four grandchildren; Evan, Nicholas, Palmer and Samara.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 14, at 4:00 pm, at Valley Mills Friends Church, 6739 W Thompson Rd., Indianapolis, 46241.

  1. I just learned of my cousin, Eric’s passing. Although we were never close due to the distance between our home in Texas and his in Indiana we heard of all his accomplishments and adventures from our daddy. My sincere condolences to his family.
