Fannie Delores Whitlock (Anderson) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 17, 1932, to John and Anna (Wilkes) Anderson. She attended grade school #4, then Crispus Attucks High School until she graduated in January 1951.
As a child she attended Jones Tabernacle Methodist Church. Which is where she accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized.
She was employed at the Indianapolis Parks Department as a Supervisor of the Juvenile Division. She was loved by the adults and children in the department. She was also employed by the Internal Revenue Service and retired after 26 years.
Fannie was blessed with a gift of love that she shared with everyone she met throughout her journey of life. She embraced everyone as family. Fannie had a loving, caring spirit, was patient and she lived the kind of life that exemplified kindness. She was cherished by everyone whom she encountered. She NEVER met a stranger.
Fannie raised numerous children including her brothers and sisters. Her family and friends loved her like a mother.
Fannie enjoyed praising the Lord, decorating, fellowship with family and friends, and giving peaceful words of wisdom.
Fannie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna (Wilkes) Anderson. Her siblings; Robert Louis Anderson, Johnnie Marie Newell, Irvin Cecil Anderson, Susie Jean Sullivan, James Lee Anderson, and Harold Gene Sebree. Her son Alonzo J. Watford 3rd, granddaughter Monique Watford and grandson Alonzo J. Watford 4th.
Fannie turned ninety-three on October 17, 2025 and went home to be with the Lord on the same day.
Fannie is survived by her sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Kaye Thomas, her children, nieces, nephews and a host of honorary family and friends.
Fannie was blessed with a dedicated loving family bond beyond biological ties: She leaves to cherish her memory children, Elizabeth M. Watford-Mitchell (James), William Watford (Grace), Michael Watford (Debra), Andrew Fowlkes, Jr. (Teresa) and Gerald Fowlkes. She had a host of others who she considered her sons and daughters, some of whom, Anna Carter and James Wynn.
Gone from our presence but never from our hearts.
We will miss you Fannie for the duration of our lives until we meet again.

Ms Fannie was an extraordinary human being.
I met her through my mother Fannie Polk who she loved very much. I would call her and she would bless me with encouraging words. I’m going to miss her and her tenacity. I know she is with the Lord Jesus Christ ❤️. Sending my condolences and prayers to you all. With Love Victoria Moore
