IN LOVING MEMORY
Glenda Jean Jared
“Mom and Nana”
August 23, 1951 • October 23, 2026

Glenda Jean Jared, lovingly known as Mom and Nana, passed away on October 23, 2026. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 23, 1951, she lived with love for her family, curiosity about the world, and appreciation for life’s simple joys. She also spent 13 years in Texas, making memories along the way.

Glenda enjoyed nature, traveling, crafting, reading, and animals. She shared her home and heart with beloved pets, including Molly and Lily. Her most recent companion, Stormy, held a special place in her life and will miss her dearly.

She especially treasured taking her grandchildren to the library, sharing her love of books and creating precious memories together. During her 19 years at Walmart, Glenda enjoyed conversations and connections with the many people whose paths crossed hers.

Above all, Glenda cherished her family. To her children, she was Mom; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was Nana. She leaves behind her sons, William “Doug” Jared and daughter-in-law Kerry, and Jeffrey Jared and his wife Leanne; her daughter, Tara; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Her family will remember outings, shared stories, travels, creative projects, the companionship of her pets, and countless moments both big and small. The love she gave and the memories she created will live on for generations. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
