Summary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gregory Allan Lilovich, 60, of LaPorte, IN on November 2, 2023, at the age of 60. He was a beloved brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Greg was born on January 12, 1963 in LaPorte, IN, to John & Mary Lilovich. He was the second oldest of five children. He went on to attend Indiana University studying Architecture before transferring to Purdue University to study Mechanical Engineering. Over the years, he held several positions and was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion to achieve success.
As a child, Greg enjoyed building models (cars, ships, planes) and was very good. Most of his models won awards in his days of 4-H. He was an extremely intelligent person with a dry sense of humor and sarcasm about him. You never really knew if he was joking with you or really upset with you.
Greg had a passion for sports cars, specifically British sports cars. Over the years, he owned and rebuilt several Triumph TR6 cars. His favorite was a red model, and he traveled the country in that little two door convertible.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents John & Mary Lilovich. He is survived by his older brother Mike Lilovich, sister Julie Lilovich, younger brother Kevin Lilovich, all of LaPorte, younger brother Jeff Lilovich of Chesterfield, VA, and two nephews, CJ & Carter Lilovich. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
In lieu of a memorial service, the family requests people to share favorite photos and memories of time spent with Greg over the years.

I knew Greg in grade school in LaPorte, and I had a huge crush on him then. We lost touch through junior high and high school, but found each other on Facebook. We would chat often, play online pool games, and he even sent me & my husband some fresh maple syrup. He had a great love for dogs, as I do, …so we had that in common. Greg will be greatly missed.
My sincere condolences to his family. May his memory be a blessing. I will keep you all in my heart, prayers, and hugs.
I met Greg on Facebook about 6 years ago, I hadn’t seen him for a few months and I wanted to check on him to make sure he was doing okay, 2023 was hard on him. Imagine my SHOCK last night when I learned he passed away, he was BLESSED with a dry sense of humor and the most awesome sarcasm of any person I know.
Sarcasm is truly an art form that I admire greatly. I am so very sorry for your loss, he was a lot of fun and full of humor no matter what he was going through and I will miss him dearly.
He told me once that checking on people during the holidays wasn’t a good idea because you don’t know what they could be dealing with, SO here’s to my friend ~he always had to have the last word. Rest in peace Greg, you truly deserve to be in peace.
