Summary

James “Casper” Ricketts, 40, passed away on July 10th, 20025. He was born on March 20th, 1985, in Indianapolis, IN., to the late Ralph Ricketts and Janice Trester.

He was self-employed, often helping with construction. James enjoyed helping others out, when and where he could. James enjoyed going on drives, playing music, hanging out with old and new friends and spending time with family. His prized possessions were his family, and most of all, his two children: Adrionna and Zane.

He is survived by his children, Adrionna and Zane Ricketts: sister/mother figure, Sandra Lemons, nieces/sister figures, Elizabeth Lemons, Jennifer Lemons, Jessica Lemons, nephew/brother figures, Markey and Jacob Lemons, and his great niece and nephew, Jaxson and Aryonna-Nicole Lemons.

The family will host a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., with a balloon release, in his memory. Please contact Sandra or Elizabeth Lemons for information regarding Jame’s Celebration of Life. Arrangements entrusted to Simple Cremation Indianapolis, located at 6904 S. East St., Suite E. Indianapolis, In. 46227.

  1. Rest easy Jay! I knew him as Jay, he was always willing to help with anything that was needed to be done. He was a sweet and caring person. God protect Jay’s soul, draw him close so he fills your love in abundance.

Hello family& friends sending up my condolences to you 🙏🙏🙏 I’m so sorry to have heard Casper has passed he will be missed from our family for sure he was Steven’s best friends & they use to spend time at our house even thanksgiving a couple of years & he was always so nice to us & always willing to lend a hand if we needed it hugs to the sky Rest in paradise Casper love ya til we meet again Mike& Didi & family 🙏🙏
