Jerry Ross Parsley

Summary

In loving memory of Jerry Ross Parsley, born in Indianapolis on April 12, 1948 to Clifton LeRoy Parsley and Marguerite (Lee) Parsley. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, brother Lanny Clifton Parsley, and the love of his life, Sandra Kay (Williams) Parsley.

Jerry is survived by his four children Jami (Scott) Jeske of New Palestine, Jennifer (William) York of Advance, Jerry (Shawn Miller) Parsley, and Jeff (Melissa) Parsley of Jamestown. He was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one sister, Fonda Becker of Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.

His kindness knew no bounds; touching the hearts of everyone he encountered. Always lending a hand or sharing a warm smile, Jerry exemplified compassion and empathy in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A true example of courage and dedication, Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. He demonstrated tenacity and selflessness in the face of adversity. He worked at Allison Transmission, Peerless Pump and served as the Marshal for the town of Advance for over twenty years.

Above all else, Jerry was a devoted husband and father whose love was without measure. His unwavering devotion and limitless generosity enriched the lives of his family; providing a strong foundation of love and support that will endure for generations.

Though he may no longer be with us in body, Jerry’s spirit will continue to inspire and guide those that knew him; reminding us to embrace life’s adventures, cherish each moment, and above all, to love fiercely and unconditionally.

Rest in Peace Dad, your legacy of love will forever live on in our hearts.
