was born on November 6, 1944, in Indianapolis. He graduated from Ben Davis High School
in 1963. He was baptized on February 11, 1961, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He
married Linda Deerberg on January 15, 1966.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Wanda Eaton and his daughter-in-law,
Rachel Eaton. He is survived by his wife, Linda Eaton of 59 years. Together they had four
children, Carrie Brown (Michael), Johnathan Eaton, Julie Stover (Dean) and Anna Bayless

this spring. He loved animals of all kinds, even insects that others felt were pests. He
served as an elder at Greenfield Congregation and recently as a ministerial servant at
Shelbyville Congregation. He enjoyed the privilege of pioneering and teaching people
about Jehovah God. He will be remembered as a very peaceable man, a good husband and

Dear Julie & Dean, our deepest condolences and sympathy to you and your family. Take time to grieve and Jehovah will hear and act on their behalf. Hope to see you soon.
John and Linda have been loyal friends to us for a long time, Judy and I have always treasured them and always looked forward to seeing them. His example we will always remember, he had a kind
way about him and was always nice with a smile on his face.
We know he is safe in Jehovahs memory and will come out to a resurrection of life just as Jesus’ said . We look forward to that time. John and Linda’s Brother and Sister Patrick and Judy Ledbetter
