Karen Rachel Stone 67, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026
Karen was born October 18, 1958 in Beechgrove, IN to Charles and Gwendolyn Cooper
She grew up in Indianapolis, attended Manual High School and Aristotle College and became a Registered Medical Assistant.
Karen was a loving wife to Morris Stone, married for 32 years, together for 38 years.
She was known for her loving, caring, and outgoing personality. She loved her family,friends, her animals, the beach, fishing with her husband. She was especially known forhosting cookouts and bringing family and friends together to make memories.
Karen is survived by her husband Morris Stone; her step sons, Morris Stone (Tina), LanceStone, Wayne Schie (Ashley); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; siblings,
in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and great great-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Cooper(1986) Gwendolyn Cooper(2004);sisters Teresa Bailey(2005), Autumn Owens(2006); great-nephew Ethan Bailey(2006);
and niece Melissa Bailey(2023)
She leaves behind many loving family members and friends who will forever cherish hermemory.
Karen’s love, laughter and the memories she created with those around her will live on inthe hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Karen’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time. She was such a beautiful and kind soul! I enjoyed my time working with her. She always had me laughing.
