Larry Eugene Couchman, 66…passed away at St Vincent Hospital, March 1st after a sudden illness…Born and raised in Marion, Indiana to the late Freddie Lee Couchman and Betty Couchman…
Larry was an enthusiast of of cars, trucks, and semi’s…It began when he was old enough to hold a wrench, to throwing a chain over a tree limb to pull a motor, to wind up driving Semi’s…He started driving Semi’s when he was 17…covered all states except 2…He drove till he was around 55…missed the road terrible when he quit…
He had many other passions in life, including building…which he built the farmers market off 26…along with many other projects..
He met April Alters, (the love of his life) and they married…March 14, 1982…together they raised 3 children of their own, along with helping to raise several neices and nephews, along with several of his kids friends…Larry was very much about his family and helping whomever needed it.
He will be greatly missed by so many…too many to name…
Larry was proceeded in death by his father, Fred Couchman, his mother Betty Couchman, his Wife April Couchman, son Brian Alters, and Daughter Ashley Dawn Couchman, sister Laura Ann Couchman, and brother Freddie Couchman jr…
He is survived by his only son Bradley Couchman, his step mother Elaine Hawkins, his sisters Tammy(Kirk) Smith, Tonya Couchman, Shelly Couchman, and Kim(Aaron) Harrell…brothers, Nick(Jessica) Couchman, Kelly (Tabitha) Couchman, and Brandon Couchman …13 grandkids, 3 great grandkids, several nieces and nephews and several life long brother friends…
There will be a celebration of life April 4th 2:00pm-4pm… in the Meadow at Matters Park… come share stories with the family…
