Lori Rene Lawrence
March 16, 1968 – September 26, 2026
Lori Rene Lawrence, born March 16, 1968, passed away on September 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, generosity, and countless lives touched by her presence.
Lori was a proud Army veteran and a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith was central to her life, and she cherished her relationship with Christ and her fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. She lived her faith through the love, compassion, and generosity she showed to others.
Fiercely independent and hardworking, Lori dedicated herself to creating a meaningful life for herself and the people she loved. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need and had an extraordinary ability to see the best in others.
Lori loved making life special. She went all out for every holiday, with earrings and socks for every occasion. She loved fishing, hiking, riding her motorcycle, and spending time outdoors. She took great pride in her garden, her flowers, and the peaceful home she created—a place she hoped would always bring her children and grandchildren together.
Lori is survived by her three daughters, Nicole, Danielle, and Shelby, and her grandchildren, Malchai, Leighvi, Robert, Aiden, Vincent Fox, Decklan, and Skylah. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley, Brenda, Ken, and Leiah, along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends, brothers and sisters in Christ, and many others who loved her.
Lori’s kindness, faith, independence, and unwavering generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in her family, her community, the people she helped, and the beautiful life she worked so hard to create.
As Lori lived her life, she embodied the words of Acts 20:35:
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
She gave freely, loved deeply, and held firmly to her faith in Jesus Christ.
Her earthly work is finished, but her love, faith, and legacy remain. Until we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m at the Shelbyville Road Church of Christ, 4915 Shelbyville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237. The memorial service begins at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by military honors.
