Melissa Kay Jenkins, 69, entered into rest on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Melissa was born in Kentucky to the late Jim and Rita Tanner on February 12, 1956.
Melissa was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She came back to her faith full swing after a number of years and was a devoted catholic ever since. She had a beautiful strong relationship with God and was happy to tell you of her faith. Melissa worked as a phlebotomist for many years and she loved her profession. She was one of the best phlebotomists, as she says everyone called her for the hard sticks, and that was something she was always proud of. She was a good listener, and a great advice giver. She loved to be out and around with friends and family. She adored her great grandchildren, and loved to play barbie’s and dance along to any sort of music. She will be dearly missed and loved by so many long time friends, and family.
Arrangements entrusted to Simple Cremation Indianapolis, 6904 S. East Street, Suite E, Indianapolis, IN., (317) 361-4516.
