Rebecca Jeneanne (Bewley) Osborne, affectionately known as “Becky,” 71, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away on October 21, 2026. Born on May 7, 1955, Becky brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.
She found great fulfillment in her work at the local library, where she shared her love of community with patrons of all ages. At home, Becky was happiest in the kitchen, cooking delicious meals for those she loved, finding quiet joy in her beautiful collection of cardinals, and spending time with her beloved cat and kitten, whom she loved dearly.
Becky’s greatest joy was her family. Her legacy of love lives on through her daughter, Jennifer Allen of Illinois; her eleven cherished grandchildren, Ashlea Beal, Christopher Smith Jr., Jonathan Webb, Kristofer Smith, Madisyn Smith, Diamond Carnahan, Harley Carnahan, Rodney Pillow, Jonathan Pillow, Jeremiah Smith, and Ashley (Griffis) Regan; and her four precious great-grandchildren, Forest Carnahan, Grady Davis, Kaleb Rodriguez, and Luna Smith. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Bill Bewley (Lolita), Dan Bewley (Marie), Larry Bewley, Rainy Pickering (Larry), and Dee Dee Ballentine, along with many adored nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Becky was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Billy C. Bewley and Leah Hostetter; her son, Christopher Smith; and her sibling, Darren Bewley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in memory of Becky to the Thorntown Public Library, 124 N. Market St., Thorntown, IN 46071, a place that was very dear to her heart
