Robert “Bobby” Owens

Robert “Bobby” Owens

April 20, 1978 – September 15, 2026

Robert “Bobby” Owens was a bigger-than-life kind of man. He had a personality that filled a room, a joke for just about any occasion, and a love for dark humor that wasn’t for the faint of heart. He had a way of making people laugh, sometimes when they least expected it, and he brought a one-of-a-kind presence into the lives of those who knew him. Bobby was unapologetically himself, and there was never anyone quite like him.

Born on April 20, 1978, Bobby lived life in his own way. He had a fascination with serial killers and the darker side of human nature, a subject that could keep him entertained and talking for hours. But behind that dark sense of humor and those unique interests was a man with a heart that cared deeply for others.

Bobby was the kind of person who was willing to help anyone in need. Whether someone needed a hand, a little support, or someone willing to show up when it mattered, he had a way of stepping in. He understood that people don’t always have it easy, and he was willing to help when he could.

Above all, Bobby loved his children deeply. His family was an important part of his life, and the love he carried for his children was something that remained at the heart of who he was. The memories they shared, the laughter, the moments both big and small, will remain part of his story for years to come.

Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Cassandra Owens (Brown); his daughters, Mazelee and Hazelee; his son, Tommy Parke, and Tommy’s partner, Mia (Mccartney); and his grandchildren, Shiloh and Maeleigh-Ann. He is also survived by his sisters, Michele Shannon (Zion) and Andrea Sawyer (Whittington), nieces, Shyann Basset (Evans) her partner Brandon, Kalee DallaCosta, nephews Jayden smedley, Zachary Whittington, Robert DallaCosta, and John DallaCosta, great nephews, Elliot, Emmett, Simon Basset, Max, Landon, Aubree Whittington, Lily and Sawyer Vore along with extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Harvey, father, Charles Whittington., and his son, Elijah Owens, whom he missed dearly, reunited in quiet peace, father and son once more.

Losing someone like Bobby leaves an absence that cannot be filled. There will be stories retold, jokes remembered, and moments when someone hears something that would have made him laugh and instinctively thinks of him. There will be memories that bring smiles, memories that bring tears, and probably a few that would have made Bobby laugh at the most inappropriate time.

And somehow, that would be fitting.

Because Bobby was never meant to be remembered as just a name, date or memory. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather, a brother, uncle, and a friend. He was a man with a big personality, a distinctive sense of humor, and a heart that made room for people who needed help.

His life was uniquely his own, and the people who loved him will carry pieces of him forward in their memories, their stories, and the lives he helped shape.

Rest in peace, Bobby. May the laughter you left behind outlast the tears, may your memory always bring a story worth telling, and may the love you gave your family and friends continue to live on for generations to come.
