Rodney Harper

Rodney Harper, 54, passed away peacefully on June 4,2026 at St Francis hospital due to kidney and vena cava cancer. Rodney was surrounded by his loving family. Rodney is survived by his devoted wife Christy Harper, his daughters Amanda Harper and Sierra Warren ( Matt) and six cherished grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Rodney dedicated many years to the trucking and logistics industry. He worked for Old Dominion Freight Line for the last four years of his career and previously spent ten years with XPO logistics. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in providing for his family. He was preceded in death by his father Bryon Harper , his mother Patricia Bayless and his sisters Marylin Baker and Marelene Hutchinson . Rodney has a deep love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time in nature. He was the happiest standing behind the grill cooking  for his family and friends and serving what many considered the best barbecue around. Rodney will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, and the warmth and laughter he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
