Summary
Steven Michael Irish, born on August 20th, 1952, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at St. Vincent's Indianapolis Hospital. At the age of 72, Steve leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends. Steve was the son of Jack and Eileen Irish.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife Jana, with whom he shared 48 wonderful years of marriage. He was the proud father of two children (son Patrick and daughter Jessica Barrientos) who both brought him immense joy throughout his life. He welcomed his daughter-in-law Melissa and son-in-law Brandon Barrientos into the family with open arms, considering them as his own. Steve also leaves behind his beloved brothers, David, Rick, and Jack Jr., as well as his sister-in-law Chery Osborne and brother-in-law Steven Keneipp, who were not just family but dear friends. His cherished grandchildren, Henry and Josephine, were the light of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Steve was a loving uncle to Rachel (Osborne) Avant and David Alan Irish. Steve will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering support for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Steve was a graduate of Lawrence Central High School and Indiana University. His entire career was spent working for the family business, Frank E. Irish, Inc. He also enjoyed traveling with his family - including trips to Maine, Oregon, New Mexico, Ireland, Hilton Head, and many others.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Steve's memory to The National Kidney Foundation, 911 East 86th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
A private service will be held to honor his life and the many ways he touched the hearts of those around him. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 19th from 2 pm to 5 pm at Dooley O'Toole's, 160 East Carmel Drive, Carmel, IN. In Steve’s honor, wear a touch of green.

Oh Jessica, I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was always so kind and caring. I am thinking about you and your family through this and I wish I could be there to attend the celebration as I always was so grateful you were at my mother’s funeral.
