Sue Frances Capps, 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Franciscan Heart Center.

She was born on December 9, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sue is survived by her son Robert Smith(Tonya), daughter Kim Shumaker (Lee) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sue was an active member at Bluff Baptist Church and was known for being kind hearted and loved helping others and spending time with Family.

She was loved by her friends and family. Sue loved spending her free time working on wordsearch puzzles.

She was preceded in her passing by her parents. Marshall Dale Ellis and Mary Lavina Doughty. Her siblings Bud, Bessie and Peggy. Her daughter, Susan Coonce and Son, Michael Smith.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to all the staff at Franciscan Health/Heart Center and to all the doctors and nurses that helped her live a long and happy life.
