Dr. Timothy Ravita, 61, passed away on November 2, 2025, at his home in Monrovia, Indiana. Tim obtained a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, a Masters from the University of Oklahoma and a Doctorate in Microbiology from Union Institute and University of Ohio. Tim specialized in FDA requirements for safety and quality for manufacturing of toiletries, cosmetics and OTC medicines. He excelled in his profession, becoming Director of Quality in several large corporatations.
What Tim valued most was his family and his professional success. He enjoyed partying with friends and family, fishing, music, his pool and wine making. Tim loved traditional horror movies particularly werewolves and Dracula. He was the ultimate prankster and stand-up comedian. Tim had a passion for politics and current affairs.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Ravita. Tim is survived by his children Samantha and Christopher Ravita, and siblings Suzanne Blackburn, Thomas Ravita, James Ravita, Michele Stock and Eileen Ravita.
Simple Cremation Indianapolis is entrusted with care.

Tim was my supervisor at my first job out of college. It’s hard to say where I would be in my career if I never had him as my first mentor, but I can confidently say I have found success in my career because of the foundational knowledge Tim gave me. More importantly, he gave me a chance.
I was fortunate enough to have our paths cross a second time when he joined a company I was working for. We picked back up like no time was lost between us.
I want to extend my sincerest condolences to his friends and family. Tim was a great colleague, but also a great friend.
Sorry I didn’t get to say good bye, brother. Hope they’re playing Billy Joel on repeat in Heaven.
