Virginia Ruth Shipley was 94 years old. She passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital Hospice Care on January 23, 2024.

She was born October 21, 1929 in Indianapolis, IN.

She is survived by 5 of her children, Jesse (Debra) Shipley, Bill (Carrie) Shipley, Joyce M. Shipley, Karen (Mike) Winters, and Rick Shipley, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovid and Sophia McGill, her husband, Everett Shipley, and her oldest son, James (Jim) Shipley.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
